Matt waited until Rex and his wife entered his place from the back patio door. He quickly made preparations to walk right over there once he figured they were in the front room. He wasn't going to have no part in waiting around for forty-five minutes like Darla wanted him to do.
His feet shuffled across the kitchen floor in those noisy sleepers he was wearing. He figured he'd take them off and leave them near the back door. He shut off the kitchen light and slipped out the back door.
Matt almost tripped on the bushes as he squeezed through onto Rex's deck. It was completely dark in Rex's condo. A dim light suddenly lit up in the living room. That's when Matt decided to enter. Matt bumped his toe on the table and almost stumbled as he walked through the dark kitchen.
